Reading published results: order, columns, and common mistakes

Main numbers: order usually does not matter

For many five‑plus‑one formats, the five main numbers form an unordered set. That means “3, 12, 18, 41, 62” matches regardless of how the result page orders them. Some sites sort ascending for readability; your ticket may print a different order.

The bonus ball is a separate field

The extra/bonus number (often shown in a different color or a separate circle) is not “just another main number.” It is matched against its own printed value. A very common mistake is to accidentally compare a main number to the bonus field or vice‑versa.

Tips for reading fast without mixing columns

  • Identify the bonus column first. Many result pages visually separate it; use that cue.
  • Count the main numbers. Make sure you’re comparing five mains to five mains.
  • Match as sets. If the main numbers are unordered, sort both lists mentally (or write them down) before comparing.

Prize tiers and payout tables are official

Result pages sometimes list the drawn numbers but not the full payout table. Prize tiers, add‑ons, and special rules are defined by licensed operators and may vary by region. If you ever have a real ticket, the only reliable source for payout rules is the official authority or authorized retailer.

Step-by-step comparison checklist

  1. Copy the five main numbers from the official results page into a row.
  2. Copy your five mains into a second row — sort both if it helps you compare sets.
  3. Count how many values appear in both rows (0–5).
  4. Compare the bonus ball separately — it is not part of the five-main set.
  5. Look up the prize tier in the official table for that match pattern.

When results look “almost” right

Matching four mains plus the bonus is a different tier than matching four mains without the bonus. Swapping one main for the bonus field is a frequent reading error, especially on mobile layouts where balls wrap to a second line. Zoom in and verify colors or labels the operator uses.
